Another question for you. Having now read more of the R&B Primer on theredandwhiterag.org.uk, I’m more aware of your desire to transmit your passion for rhythm & blues to a newbie audience. As a fellow trailblazer, I support your aim and was wondering if you could recommend just ONE various artist compilations with which to tempt those who might be willing to step back to what some would say are the origins and forerunners of rock & roll. I know you have namechecked some compilations in the Twenty To Try section. Would it be one of those or would you have something else mind??
Thanks

Okay, BluesFan001. Take a look in about an hour or so from now and you’ll see a post covering this issue, as I so rashly promised here.
The Post can be found here
Interesting question – the flippant response is to suggest you have a good look at the “Twenty To Try” page and see if you can spot one there! One entry is certainly in with a shout but then the more I think about it, the more intriguing it becomes. So much so, that I might have to produce an actual article on the subject. Don’t start looking now though, it will be produced post Christmas festivities in the New Year
Have a good’un, see you in 2025…
