Great weather, lovely island and a trip to Herm. Who said that Guernsey was only for old folk? Well, me probably, which is a sad irony, as the years drift by….
And it is certainly a relaxed and laid back place. But having not been since I was around seven, I think I can be forgiven for forgetting just how beautiful it is. Fantastic scenery, great coastline and walking, good food (but pricey) and excellent public transport – our own public authorities could learn a thing or two about the bus services, which served just about anywhere on the island and were very cheap.
Definitely not one for the Ibiza crowd, but if you like great scenery, coastline walks, excellent restaurants, good local beer (and pubs), and access to the even prettier Herm and Sark (a day will do) then definitely worth a visit. And flying in by air was a real treat, I’ve never been in a more relaxed and quiet airport! Great weather definitely helped but I take it all back, it’s not just for the old folk like me. 🙂
