After missing a year in 2017 for ‘reasons unavoidable’, we were back yesterday for our ritual Saturday fix. Once again blessed with superb weather, the afternoon in front of the main stage was, as usual, the purveyor of an excellent and eclectic selection of bands and music. Big shout out in particular to an early set (11.00am) from Luke Tuchscherer (with band the Penny Dreadfuls). Back in the UK to do some low key promotion for the excellent “Pieces“, the set was every bit as good as his previous festival appearance in 2015, showcasing the excellent release. After the Band cover (The Weight) of 2015, this time he finished with a little classic Springsteen (Bad Influence). Others of note were The Grande, Curse of Lono and the Cordovas although sadly both the first two proved excellent live and a little underwhelming when listened to on CD in the comfort of your own living room; and, two ice creams but only one alcoholic beverage!!
