Welcome back. In the unlikely event that you are bemused by the lack of posts, fear not. For more, investigate the post following this entry. This was a visit from Scott and Gilli, who were brave enough to drive down from the North East to spend two days in sunny Suffolk. Appropriate distancing measures were put in place, including separate bathroom / washroom facilities (en-suite coming to the rescue).
Despite the precautions, we still/managed a full day of discovery (separate cars obviously), visiting the churches and associated burial grounds of a whole series of Suffolk villages that we had never visited before. Pretty successful on the genealogy front for Gilli as well. Also managed to call in to Eye for a brief look around, including the ambitiously described Eye Castle. A lovely guest prepared vegetarian barbecue in the evening as well, before the journey back to the North East the following day. All in all, a successful small first step back into the real world!
