On the front page of the site I may have ungenerously but somewhat characteristically made reference to my foreboding for the 23/24 football season. Well, after eight games and one point, I can’t help but try and recall the exact wording….hmmmm……. “Dreading the 2023/24 season though 🙂”. Oh yeah, that.
So, ten games in and the worst start in Premier League history! Let’s not worry though, loads more ‘worst ever’ records to be smashed before the season is over…..
Europe here we come!! 🤩
I have now reconsidered my stunning over reaction to the Wolves win and am predicting lowest ever total as we hit the Championship with a bullet 😱
And so it continues. Sorry for Heckingbottom, saying goodbye with a mixture of admiration ( he did after all bring a clearly inferior team back to the Premier and the watched his two quality players leave for greener climes) and a lingering opinion he was a little out of his depth in this league. Alas, we’ll never know, as he wasn’t backed and had little option other than to play the hand he was dealt.
Already been a reaction to the Wilder return (read all about his previous dismissal here but needless to say the next few weeks will reveal all.
Well, it’s never dull!! Oh, and a quick shout out to Sunderland – If you know, you know 🙂
Not getting any better is it????
But it can get even worse. How many more “records” can we break!!!
Sheffield United have become the first side in English league football to concede five or more goals in four successive home games and the first side to lose three consecutive home league games by at least a five-goal margin.
