On With The Show…

Just returned from two nights at the Hotel Felix on the outskirts of Cambridge to combine a short break with a trip to Papworth Hospital for an Outpatient appointment. Managed to include a visit to the very fine and recently re-opened Kettle’s Yard, ‘a living place where works of art could be enjoyed… where young people could be at home unhampered by the greater austerity of the museum or public art gallery.’ (Jim Ede). Kettle’s Yard is the University of Cambridge’s modern and contemporary art gallery and includes a beautiful house with a remarkable collection of modern art and a gallery that hosts modern and contemporary art exhibitions.  Hotel was average to excellent, all depending on which day you want to review. Ok room, poor shower and an absolutely superbly cooked dinner on the first evening. On the second, as before plus an average dinner, had to be different chef(s) on day two! As for the hospital appointment, talked through the next steps and the outcome is a catheter ablation (go here to read more), waiting time about 18 weeks. Onwards and upwards……
