Papworth Part 2

As I was scheduled for my CT scan for my pulmonary veins, we combined it with a two night stay at the Hotel Felix like before. And as on the previous occasion, the hotel (with room upgrade) was excellent. Superb dinner on the first evening, very relaxing environment typical of a country house hotel but within walking distance of Cambridge town centre. The stay kicked off on Easter Monday so expected it to be busier than it was; the CT scan on the Tuesday was pretty much as anticipated, although I’m glad they warned me about the hot flush and ‘significant urge to pee’ symptoms of the iodine solution they kept pumping in! On the Wednesday morning we slotted in a visit to Denny Abbey and Farmland Museum and both were fascinating in their own way. English Heritage own the abbey but the whole site is independently run by the Museum staff and very well too, with some imaginative concepts around the communication of information. Next stop the ablation!!
