Recalcitrant Returner

Railway Inn

Not usually an event important enough to warrant inclusion on this esteemed and exciting musings extravaganza. On this occasion however, I thought I would add it to the site as a lesson in how often we fail to return to locations after what might only be an initial cursory visit. The Railway Inn in Westerfield is one such establishment. I visited over twenty five years ago for a pint, not long after moving to Suffolk and never returned and Mrs. No Name had cause to once visit on business. Anyway, prompted by the call for lunch and the fairly recent addition of a small adventure golf course we finally returned yesterday to investigate. I can confirm that the food was excellent, the adventure golf course was in good nick (we were ‘overfed’ and couldn’t manage a round) and the welcome was friendly. All I can say with confidence is it won’t be twenty five years before we go back, for obvious reasons!
