Great gig – excellent songwriting, fine musicianship, delighted to have finally got to see them. Had numerous opportunities, but always seemed to miss them for some reason or other. Not sure about the merging of ‘Country Life’ and ‘Captain Jack’; nice idea but I prefer an uptempo ‘Country Life’. Other than that, spot on! A word of praise for Miranda Sykes as well, filling out the sound with acoustic bass and lovely backing vocals (as well as the occasional lead).
And not a finger in the ear to be seen anywhere….. 🙂
